This camera, in the northeast of Milan, is located in front of the railway station. You got it right, the building with stunning architecture and beautiful sculptures is the Central Station of Milan. It is one of the largest in all of Europe. Built in 1931, in the Art Deco style, it came to replace the old station of 1864.

Strange as it may seem, the station got its famous look due to the fascist regime and Benito Mussolini personally. He decided to supplement the architecture of the new station, in order to show the whole world the greatness of the regime established in the country in the 1920s. The construction of the station was very slow. The reason for this was the economic crisis in Italy after the First World War.

Most of the buildings you see around the station square are hotels. Guests of the city, who arrive in it through the Central Station, can be in a hotel room in a few minutes. This webcam is installed in one of them. We are looking at the Duca d’Aosta Square, from the prestigious Excelsior Hotel Gallia, a Luxury Collection Hotel.
