Milan. View of the Center from the Porta Nuova Area
The Porta Nuova district of Milan was named after the eponymous gates leading to the city center, from the north. The gates were built at the beginning of the 19th century and were part of the “Spanish wall,” which has not survived to our day. But, the gates themselves still stand in their place and are an indispensable part of many tourist routes around Milan.
The camera is installed in the five-star hotel, Westin Palace. Literally across the road is one of the attractions of this Milan district, Park of the City Museum of Natural History and the museum itself.
Today, Porta Nuova has acquired a new status, as now multistory offices are being built here, and the district itself has become a business center of the city.
In the background, we can see the Milan Cathedral, the titular church of San Carlo al Corzo, Velasca Tower, and the roofs of other famous buildings.
