Perugia. Basilica of San Domenico
Perugia is an incredibly beautiful Italian city, rich in history and unusual architecture, built on a set of hills. Due to its topography, Perugia is like a magical city and a large number of preserved historical buildings only add to the feeling that we are in a fairy tale.
The camera is installed in the building of the University, Cepu Perugia. Almost every building here has a long story, but we will focus on the most important sights of Perugia. In the foreground, on the left side of the screen, we can see the bell tower of the Catholic cult place, Chiesa di Sant’Ercolano. Behind it, the tower of the Basilica of San Domenico rises above the city.
Unfortunately, the camera does not show the famous gates of St. Peter’s Church, but in the background, we can see the church itself. It was built in the tenth century, and was rebuilt several times; St. Peter’s gates have survived to our time since their foundation in the fifteenth century.
Perugia is the smallest city in the world, where there is a subway. Opened in 2008, it has only one branch, stretching from west to east.
