Selva di Val Gardena. Val Gardena Ski Resort
The ski resort of Val Gardena, which you see on your screens now, is located in the same name valley of the Dolomites of Italy. The resort consists of three large skiing areas — Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva Gardena. We are in the third one, the highest mountain zone. The total length of all the routes of Val Gardena is more than 150 kilometers, so that even the most pretentious tourist can find a route to their liking.
Most of the tourists stay in the village of Selva di Val Gardena, which this panoramic camera periodically shows. As you can see, the routes are laid both along narrow paths beside steep cliffs and along wide slopes of the mountains. This is very convenient because novice skiers and snowboarders rarely intersect with each other here.
All ski lifts in the Val Gardena ski area have a single subscription. In the 2016-2017 season, a one-day ski pass cost 42 euros — the standard price for the Alpine resorts of Europe.
In the picture, we can see a huge rock, Langkofel, which is a real natural landmark of the province of Bolzano. On our website, you can have a look at this rock from another point, the ski resort of Val Gardena.
