Known worldwide, the Savoy dynasty has, for centuries, expanded its ownership and in 1716 reached the Piedmont. The residence of the dynasty in Turin became the Royal Palace, which you can see on the screens.

The palace is located in the northern part of the Piazza Castello, a square surrounded by a variety of museums, galleries and other attractions of Turin. The Royal Palace is connected, by a passage, with the Turin Cathedral, which houses the legendary Shroud of Turin (a four-meter linen, which, according to the legend, the body of Jesus was wrapped in after his suffering on the Cross and death).

The territory of the palace also includes parks, such as I Giardini Reali, the famous Fontana di Nereide e i Tritoni, as well as the high bell tower, Campanile del Duomo.
