Venice. Pier Murano Faro
We can see one of the marinas on the island of Murano, which is part of Venice. Most of the routes link Murano with the main island. It also houses the famous lighthouse Faro di Murano. This webcam is installed on it.
The lighthouse on the island of Murano existed in the times of the Venetian Republic, but the current building dates back to the twentieth century. A 35-meter-high tower was built in 1912 and, in 1934, it was subjected to a global reconstruction for the first time. Two Madonnas are portrayed at the bottom of the bas-relief of the lighthouse. One of them is located above the entrance door of the lighthouse, and the other is on the opposite side.
On the screen, we can see the main building of the pier where tickets are sold. Usually tourists buy several trips that include various islands of the Venice lagoon. For example, a ticket for a journey between the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello costs only 20 euros.
