Venice. The Square of Santa Maria Formosa
It is the second most important square in Venice (after the famous Piazza San Marco) and received its name in honor of the Church of Santa Maria Formosa.
The square is surrounded by numerous bridges and canals, as well as palace-houses — the so-called “palazzo”. It is worth mentioning that not many tourist routes pass through this square, which is why one can always have a rest from noisy Venice and enjoy the peace and quietness on Santa Maria Formosa.
We can see this square from the Ruzzini Palace Hotel. Not too many hotels in Venice can boast such a magnificent view from their rooms. More often, only the adjacent building can be seen out of the window of a Venetian hotel. The price of the rooms, decorated in classic Venetian style, starts at € 300 per night.
