Hirosaki. View from the University of Hirosaki to Iwaki Mountain

Iwaki is, actually, not a usual mountain but a real volcano. It is located on the territory of Tsugaru Quasi-National Park.

The mountain lies less than 32 kilometres from the city of HirosakiIt and is easy accessible by car.

Thanks to its height of 1625 metres Iwaki can be seen almost from every point within Aomori Prefecture.
