Nairobi. A View of the Ngong Hills

The webcam is in the most respectable and affluent suburb of Nairobi, named after the Danish writer, Karen Blixen, whose coffee plantation was there in the first half of the twentieth century.

The camera is directed toward the beautiful, and densely covered with tropical greenery, Ngong Hills. Almost the same view opens from the veranda of the famous writer, whose house was turned into a museum.

The terrain is stunningly beautiful here, but it is not safe for tourists. After all, Kenya is not a rich country and there is a significant crime problem. It is not recommended to explore the area alone.

It is quite another thing when you come into a comfortable camping lodge or spa hotel on the coast, located at a considerable distance from the cities where poverty and crime flourish.
