Ozolkalns. Mountain Ski Resort Ozolkalns

We are now observing the beautiful mountain slopes of the Latvian Mountain Ski Resort Ozolkalns, which lies quite close to the town of Cesis. This ski resort is popular among families with children because it offers very comfortable skiing conditions including its four ski lifts — one chair lift, two button lifts and one lift for children. Lift’s total carrying capacity is around 400 skiers and snowboarders at one time.

Local prices are very moderate. For instance, you can buy a 3-hour ski pass, a day ski pass, or even a season ski pass. A weekend pass costs 20 euro, while season ski pass will cost about 250 euro. Additionally, Ozolkalns offers its guests a free shuttle bus to the neighboring resort called Zagarkalns.

Ozolkalns is popular among tourists all-year-round. In summer time people come here to enjoy charming boat trips on the Gauja River or try challenging rope course.

Guests of Ozolkalns can choose between several accommodation options, from standard hotel rooms to cozy wooden campings. A nice wooden house for five persons will cost 80 euro per night (during the weekend).
