Nauders. Funicular Station 2,170 m
Sometimes it happens that a place is great, but it lacks something in its development. That is the story of the Austrian resort town, Nauders. It is very good, but not very popular with tourists.
The union with neighboring ski areas, including Italian (everything is close in Europe), was the impetus to the development of the resort, and the reason for its sharp increase in attendance. Now, you can ski here, as well as at the resorts of Schöneben and Haideralm, with a single ski pass. It’s very convenient for those who want more than just the Austrian Alps.
There is a free shuttle bus between the ski areas. So, if you don’t know how to drive on mountain tracks or how to use snow chains, it is definitely more convenient and cheaper to go by bus.
