Alpbach. Ast Skihütte Restaurant

We are looking at the ski slopes of the Alpbach Resort from the mountain restaurant, Kafner Ast Skihütte, built under the summit of Wiedersberger Horn, at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level. Next to the restaurant is the Gmahbahn cableway, so there are always a lot of visitors to Kafner Ast Skihütte. Here, you can relax after a long ski run and have a delicious lunch on the summer terrace of the restaurant, which offers views of magnificent Alpine peaks.

Built in 2014, Gmahbahn is a six-seater lift, moving at a speed of five meters per second. Tourists are protected from rain by special screens.

From the roof of the restaurant, we are looking at one of the wide slopes of the ski resort, which has an average level of complexity. In the background is another ropeway serving more complex routes.

In the summer, the restaurant does not stop its work. Many fans of mountain walks holiday here. Kafner Ast Skihütte often hosts acoustic concerts of local musicians in the warm season.
