Werfenweng. Mount Bischling (Bischlinghöhe)

Mount Bischling is located above the Werfenweng community. Its height is 1,834 meters above sea level. It is almost a kilometer higher than the community itself. Therefore, it is not surprising that a ski resort, with several ski lifts, was built here. The most important of them is presented on your screen.

The Ikarus cable car is a modern eight-seat booth that will drive you to the top of Bischling in 5 and a half minutes. During this time, you will cover a distance of 2 kilometers, ascending up to 858 meters. The Doppelmayr cable car was built in 2001. At its lower station, there are a couple of lifts that serve the educational slopes of the resort.

Having climbed to the top of Bischling, tourists get a great opportunity to see a circular panorama. In the east, you can see the Gosaukammbahn mountain ridge and Dachstein Mountain, the valley of the Salzach River in the west, High Tauern National Park in the south and, finally, Mount Ladenberg in the north.

In addition to the cableway, we can see the mountain restaurant, Bischlingshöhe, with a magnificent observation platform, which is also an outdoor terrace of the restaurant.
