This webcam is located in Muskat, the capital city of Oman. The city lies in the Gulf of Oman and has over many centuries been an important connecting point in traditional spice trade between Asia and Europe.

The webcam captures a typical desert Arabian scenery with rocks and small white houses alternating with mosques and minarets.

The coastal line of the Gulf of Oman is a popular recreational area. Beaches of Oman along with their cliffs attract tourists from all over the world. Season here starts in September and lasts until April. It is better not to come here in the summer time because of the possible dust storms. You should also remember to buy a modest swimming suit to avoid possible displeasure from the local population before coming here.
