This webcam is located in the town of Lagoa, in the southwestern part of Sao Miguel Island, Azores.

Lagoa lies in a quiet place just some 8 kilometres away from Ponta Delgada. Not far from here is situated one of the major of local natural attractions, the beautiful lake of Lagoa do Fogo.

By the way, this charming place (despite its small size) is over five hundred years old.
