Terskol. Elbrus Mountain. Station Mir

Station Mir of the famous skiing mountain resort of Azau, located on the slope of Mount Elbrus, is a transitional point between lower and upper stations of the ski lift. We are now observing the lift and a small ground beside it, with several cafes providing warm meal to hungry skiers and thirsty fans of snowboard.

The entire skiing domain is divided into three main sections. Station Mir connects stations of Krugozor and Garabashi on the 2nd and 3rd levels. To get to the very top of this mountain slope, skiers will have to use “Elbrus” ski lift or “Poma-3” gondola lift (a new one, opened just in 2015).

Station Mir is situated the altitude of 3500 metres above sea level. Maybe that is why local pistes are recommended for experienced skiers only.
