Terskol. Mount Elbrus. Garabashi Station. The Mountain Slope

The highest point of Azau resort, which can be accessed by cableway, is Garabashi Station. Right now we are observing the beginning of the ski track, which begins from this station. Garabashi station can be reached by an older “Elbrus” cableway, or by “Poma-3” gondola lift opened in 2015.

Garabashi station is located at the altitude of 3780 metres above sea level. Next station, Priyut 11 (Refuge of the 11), is situated at the altitude of 4100 and can be reached only with the help of a snow groomer.

Elevation difference between the stations of Garabashi and Mir is only 250 metres, while physical distance comprises about 2 kilometres. Thanks to this fact, this resort has become very popular destination for professional skiers and lovers of snowboard, as well as for beginners and amateurs.
