Liptovský Mikuláš. Aquapark Tatralandia
Liptovský Mikuláš is a rather small town in northern part of the country, which stands on the Váh River.
A swivel webcam in Aquapark Tatralandia, located a few kilometers from the town. The aquapark was opened in 2004, it has 9 thermal pools, 6 of them are open all year-round and 2 of them are covered. Today it is the biggest aqua-park in Slovakia and one of the biggest in Central Europe.
The place is also known for being located quite close to the main and most visited in the county ski resorts of Jasná, which have a total of more than 40 lifts on all sides of the Chopok Mountain.
The ski resort of Jasná joined in Krakow’s request to host the 2022 Winter Olympics as the alpine skiing venue, but its request was rejected by the Poles in a national referendum in May 2014. It could have been the first time in the history, that Olympic Games were held in different countries at the same time.
