Nova Gorica. The Soča River. Solkan Kayak Center
The Soča River is a national treasure of two countries; it originates as a small stream in Slovenia, and then flows violently to the lower reaches of Italy. The banks of the river are the steep cliffs of the Julian Alps, where the numerous rock rapids are good for rafting and kayaking.
On the banks of the stormy river, there are dozens of slalom centers that have developed routes for kayaking. A kayak club in Solkan offers downstream routes from the eponymous stone bridge connecting Slovenia and Italy, whose arch over the Soča we can see on the screen. The club offers not only kayaking but also has a fitness center, conference rooms, and a summer outdoor pool.
