Škofja Loka. Ski Resort Stari vrh. Sidro Lift

Sidro is one of the most popular ski lifts in the Slovenian ski resort, Stari vrh. It connects the peak, after which the resort is named, with the foot of one of the most difficult trails. The renewed ski lift can take you to a height of 1,217 meters above sea level.

On the screen, you will not see newbies, as only experienced skiers and snowboarders use the Sidro lift. Another ski lift is visible in the background. It should be noted that not only primitive rope tows are here, but also a four-seater chairlift. It can take you to the highest point of the resort.

At the beginning and end of the season, no one uses the slopes of the Sidro ski lift because snow cannons have not been installed in this part of the resort yet. But artificial snow on the main slopes of Stari vrh allows you to ski, even in early March.

The Stari vrh Resort is in great demand due to its favorable location — several large cities are nearby, including the capital of Slovenia. You can get from Ljubljana to Stari vrh by car, in less than an hour.
