Škofja Loka. Stari vrh Ski Resort

Slovenia, like neighboring Austria with its famous Alpine ski resorts, has many ski slopes. We are looking at the resort, Stari vrh. It is built at altitudes from 580 meters to 1,217 meters above sea level.

Among 12 kilometers of well-groomed trails, vacationers can find both the simplest and most difficult routes, which are suitable only for well-trained skiers and snowboarders. Beginners master their skiing skills in the snow park, and pros demonstrate their skills on the black tracks at the top of the resort.

Snow cannons serve 95% of the slopes, so even when it’s warm in the winter, vacationers do not have to worry about the quality of the ski slopes. A one-day ski pass costs 27 euros—an excellent price for such a resort.

The nearest major town to Stari vrh is Škofja Loka, which is located 15 kilometers east of the ski slopes. If you want, you can find a convenient option to stay in the town and travel to the slopes by bus or car.
