We are heading to the north of Spain. The camera on the shore of the Bay of Santander is directed toward one of the main natural attractions of this place—Dunas del Puntal y Estuario del Miera. The dunes are known by tourists for their beaches, where nudists from all over the world sunbathe.
In addition to naked holidaymakers on the sandy beaches of the dunes, you can find a seafood restaurant, Chiringuito El Puntal Tricio. Because of frequent tides, the landscape of the dunes can change, so do not be surprised by the changing coastline. The central part of the dunes is covered with grass.
Since the entrance to the water from the beaches is quite gentle, families with children come here to relax. On the other hand, when the Bay of Biscay is exposed to storms, the coast of the Puntal and Miera Estuary are occupied by surfers.
In the background, you can see a bridge over the Miera River or, rather, over its delta, Ria de Cubas. The bridge connects the settlements of Somo and Pedrenia and is named Puente de Somo.
