Krattigen. Mountain Niderhorn

The camera in the office of Natur-Welten Company is aimed in the direction of Lake Thun and Niderhorn Mountain, towering over it. The height Niderhorn is almost 2 kilometers. The cableway brings tourists to the top of the mountain, offering magnificent views of Lake Thun and the Bernese Alps.

A great number of solar panels that produce energy throughout the year are installed on the mountain. The first lifts appeared here in the middle of the last century. There is a unique updated railroad, Niderhorna, on the slopes.

Walking on top of the mountain can be dangerous, because there is no gentle slope and, on the other side, there is a real chasm.
