George Town. South Terminal of the Port
Let’s go to the largest of the Cayman Islands, Grand Cayman. In front of us is Grand Cayman port, or rather its southern part, and in particular, the South Terminal. The camera is set on one of the port cranes and shows the southern part of the port. There is not only a terminal for ships, but also a small beach, which you can see in the left part of the screen. A wooden staircase leads from the western waterfront of Georgetown to the public beach.
The port and the city share the only way to Harbor Drive, behind which there is a variety of bars, restaurants, cafes and nightclubs for residents and visitors of Georgetown. Just behind the South Terminal, travel agencies are located, where you can book a tour of the island or the Caribbean Sea.
Sheds with round roofs, which can be found in different parts of the port, are designed to protect passengers, awaiting departure, from the hot sun. The quay can be distinguished from other popular resorts in the Caribbean only by the huge cargo ships.
