Clallam County. Lake Crescent. Devil's Punchbowl

The camera is located near the town of Piedmont in the Olympic National Park, Washington. We can see the mountains and small hills that hide Lake Sutherland from us. There are several attractions around the lake. One of them is located right at the point where the camera is installed, at the Devil’s Punchbowl bridge. Don’t worry, only the name of the bridge is scary; a solid wooden bridge connects the two shoulders at a low height and is not dangerous for travelers.

The maximum depth of the lake, which we see on the screen, is 190 meters, making it the second deepest in the entire state. The lake is famous for its incredible transparency and blue waters. This is because the water contains very little nitrogen.

The lake was probably named after its shape, which is reminiscent of a crescent.
