Durango. Views from the Durango State

The state of Durango is located in the northwest part of Mexico. Economy of this place over centuries has been based mostly on its mining industry. In the recent times, thanks geographical diversity, Durango has become very popular as destination for extreme sports and ecological tourism. Here is a real paradise for enthusiasts of kayaking, mountain biking, horse riding, abseiling, free climbing and many other dangerous activities.

Local government has placed 11 webcams around the territory of the state with one and only aim – shows tourists main attractions and landmarks of Durango. These webcams have views, for instance, over Fort Lewis College from Mountain Smelter (current webcam on the map), over beautiful valleys of the state, over the old historical buildings and railway station, over clean lakes and rivers and, of course, over the state capital city called “City of Victoria de Durango”.
