Milkovsky District. Kizimen Volcano

Kizimen is a very old stratovolcano, its geological age is about 12 thousand years.

It has been “sleeping” since the last eruption which took place in 1929. Periods of its highest activity are usually preceded by earthquakes.

Kizimen is a popular destination of lovers of volcanos and ecological tourism. Famous Tumroksky hot springs are located nearby.
