Ellmau. Hartkaiserbahn Mountain Station, 1530 m

The Alpine resort of Ellmau is popular not only with skiers and adherents of Scandinavian walking, but also with fans of the series “Mountain Doctor” that was filmed in these places. So, there are more than enough tourists here at any time of the year. Ellmau is part of the SkiWelt ski area, where there are 250 km of trails. It sounds impressive, but you should take into account the peculiarities of skiing in the zone of Ellmau, among which is insufficient natural snow cover, and the infrastructure is not very good for tourists and skiers (there are not enough cafes or restaurants and crowds on the lifts).
