Hinterstoder. Community Panorama
Once a small and unknown Austrian village, Hinterstoder has now become a popular tourist destination, as well as the venue for the World Cup in Alpine skiing. Despite its centuries-old history of more than 800 years, Hinterstoder has remained a provincial community with a population of about 1,000 inhabitants.
The survey camera is installed on the lower station of the Hössbahn cableway. We can see several high mountains that protect Hinterstoder from strong winds. We can also see the numerous hotels of the resort, as well as sports clubs, shops, restaurants and a primary school.
Hinterstoder is of interest for tourists not only as a ski resort, but also because of its modern museum, Alpineum, and the late baroque-style Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, built in the late 18th century. The tower of the church is clearly visible on the screen.
An interactive museum, Alpineum, appeared in Hinterstoder in 1998, but has already gained a certain popularity. Here, the most diverse expositions, from the history of woodcutting to the history of skiing, reside together perfectly.
