Hintertux. Sommerberg Station

Sommerberg is a unique place in the resort of Hintertux, where in the summer, among the green pastures, you can meet people in full ski equipment. The Sommerbergalm area is one of the intermediate points on the way to the top of Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen. On the screen, we can see a panorama of the station, Sommerbergalm, its restaurants and cafes, a sporting goods store, and the many serpentines laid along the slopes of the Alpine mountains.

Due to the large influx of tourists, in both the summer and winter, Hintertux suggests starting the ascent to a height of more than 3 kilometers above sea level on one of the two ski lifts. To Sommerberg Station leads the eponymous cableway, as well as the Gletscherbus funicular. It’s worth noting that the cabins of the second one are 3 times more spacious (24 passengers vs 8).

In the summer, vacationers can stay in the Sommerbergalm area and take a walk along the beautiful green slopes of the mountains, explore the tourist routes, and eat delicious meals on the terraces of local restaurants. If you come by car, equipped with skis or a snowboard, you can go directly from Hintertux to the year-round funiculars of the Tuxer Ferner Station.
