Hintertux. The Top of Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen

The ski resort of Hintertux is certainly one of the most interesting, in terms of Alpine landscapes and giant peaks. This camera was installed near the top stations of the ski lifts, directly at the top of Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen, which is 3,288 meters above sea level (the camera is only 30 meters lower).

The slopes you see on the screen were accessible to skiers as far back as the 1970s, but, back then, they were not served by the most comfortable cable cars. The situation radically changed in 2007, when modern cabin lifts were installed all the way to the top.

To get to Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen, you need to drive to the parking lot of the lower station of Gletscherbus I. The first stage of this cableway delivers tourists to Sommerbergalm, then Gletscherbus II does the rest, at which time you will find yourself at an altitude of 2,609 meters. After that, you will need to get into a ten-seater car of Gefrorene Wand, then again continue the journey with Gefrorene Wand 3b. From there, you can now go on a long trip along the routes of the resort, with a total height difference of over 1,700 meters.

The slopes of Gefrorene-Wand-Spitzen are covered with snow all year round, therefore, this resort is a real outlet for skiers in the summer months.
