Obertauern. Lake Hundsfeld

Hundsfeld is a mountain lake at an altitude of 1,960 meters above sea level, located above the Obertauern community in the northern part of the resort. The nearest mountain peak, Hundskogel, is located 1 kilometer east of the lake, its height reaches 2,239 meters.

Hundsfeld is not the only mountain lake in Obertauern. For example, you can find Lake Grunwald on the neighboring slope. There are also a lot of water bodies, which do not have names due to their modest dimensions.

In the summer months, Obertauern turns into a “Mecca” for fans of hiking, fishing, biking and other entertainment.

The Obertauern municipality, with its cozy houses built along the Tauern Valley, is clearly visible in fine weather.

The camera is installed on the united station of two lifts, Kringsalmbahn and Seekarspitzbahn. They raise skiers to the eponymous peaks, Kringsalm and Seekarspitze.
