St. Anton am Arlberg. Valluga Mountain
We are leaving for the border of Tyrol and Vorarlberg. The camera is installed at an altitude of 2,811 meters above sea level, on the observation platform of the Valluga peak. Tourists get here by the Vallugabahn II lift. There are no ski runs here, so vacationers go up without skis and snowboards in six-seater cabins.
Vallugabahn was built in the middle of the last century, therefore Valluga has been a popular tourist destination for more than 50 years. Despite major repairs in 2002, Vallugabahn II still carries people in narrow six-seater cabins. Vallugabahn I is much more convenient, it has two cabins, which comfortably accommodate up to 45 passengers.
A panoramic camera shows Alpine peaks, many of which exceed 3 kilometers above sea level in height. This view was seen for the first time by Andreas Madeler, who conquered Valluga alone in 1877.
On the rocky peak of Valluga, tourists can be seen in both the winter and the summer. A round-trip ticket costs € 28.
