Mount Gamskogel is one of several mountains surrounding the Austrian ski resort of Zauchensee. You can get from the village to the top via the Gamskogelbahn lift. We are at the intermediate station of this renovated funicular. The cable car with the same name appeared in this place in the early 1970’s.

Due to the increased tourist flow, it was decided to rebuild the lift. The first section with six-seaters was installed in 2001, and the one leading to the top of Schwarzkopf was completed in 2014. Now, vacationers spend only 10 minutes to get from Zauchensee to an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level, where they can use long trails of varying difficulty.

Let’s return to the intermediate station of this lift, where a large playground and the Gamskogelhütte restaurant are situated. The rotary camera is installed in this restaurant. First, we can see a playground, then Gamskogelbahn Station and Seekarlift.

Closer to the top of Schwarzkopf, you can relax on the shore of Lake Seekar in the summer months.
