Rokytnice nad Jizerou. Hotel Starý Mlýn

We are now observing the Ski Resort Modrá Hvezda — Bahýnka, in the Czech town of Rokytnice nad Jizerou. This is one of the largest resorts on the territory of the Krkonoše Mountains, with its ski center located right at the foot of the Lysá Hora. Not far from the resort can be found the Hotel Starý Mlýn, from which we now can see the local carting track.

This track is 200 metres long and is mostly used during the summer period. It has brand new equipment, which measures speed and shows results of the runs. The hourly price for three cars is 75 euro.

The Hotel Starý Mlýn is a quite popular place for accommodation. One night in this three-star hotel will cost you quite reasonable money, something about 50 USD. In the neighborhood, you will find many other options for accommodation, from cheap guest houses to expensive hotels.

By the way, this region of the Czech Republic is renowned worldwide for its alpine resorts. Such as the ski resorts of Studenov and Horní Domky, both equipped with modern lifts and additionally offering their guests slopes for snowboard — Pizár and Šachty.
