Rokytnice nad Jizerou. View over Jablonec

Rokytnice nad Jizerou is one of the most popular ski resorts in the Czech Republic. The entire place is surrounded by beautiful mountains, all as one suitable for skiing. Rokytnice nad Jizerou was founded in the 16th century and has managed to keep the original medieval layout and architectural concept. All new structures of the town, as well as administrative buildings and tourist hotels, are built in same charming Rokytnice - style.

The major part of the slopes is located on the Lysa Hora. Several chair lifts were opened here in 2006, so today it takes just some minutes to get to the very top of the mountain.

Those of us, who come to visit mountain resorts of the Liberec region, are offered various accommodation options. Of course, you can choose a hotel on the territory of the ski resort, if you can afford it. If you cannot do so or prefer to save money, you can always stay in one of the cheap hotels in the surrounding villages. The only thing here is that in this particular case you will have to rent a car to get to the nearest ski lift. Actually, not a big deal when distances are so short.
