Cologne. Cologne / Bonn Airport. Terminal 2

In the early 1990s, it became obvious that the airport could not cope with the increasing load. The passenger traffic was divided between 2 terminals. The building of glass and steel, 300 meters long and 75 meters wide, won the architectural contest.

The first camera shows the telescopic ladders of Terminal 2, the second one shows one of the interiors, where we can see passengers on two floors. There are more than 40 check-in counters, spacious waiting rooms and lounges in this terminal.

The glass structures of Terminal 2 not only give it a great appearance, but also provide enough natural light. The terminal was built in 3 years and was officially opened on September 21, 2000.

In 2004, Terminal 2 was connected to a railway station located at the airport of Cologne. The airport plans to expand in the future, and the existing terminals will be reconstructed.
