Garmisch-Partenkirchen District. Lake Eibsee

We are on the slopes of the highest mountain in Germany, Zugspitze. Eibsee-Seilbahn lift is on its northern slope. The camera is installed on one of the lift sticks, so we can learn about the area of Eibsee and its pearl, Eibsee Lake.

With its unique location, Eibsee is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the country. Its water reflects the Bavarian Alps, which give it a greenish tint. Going along the lake by boat, tourists can take a look at eight islands, each of which is much younger than the lake itself.

In winter, only skiers come to the lake in order to go to the top of the Zugspitze; from the 1st of May to the 31st of October, a huge number of fishermen appear on Eibsee. They can catch pike, brown trout, carp, tench and different types of white fish.
