Garmisch-Partenkirchen District. Zugspitze Ski Resort

We are on the border of Austria and Germany, close to the stations of several cableways to the Zugspitze. You can get to the highest mountain of Germany either from the German district of Eibsee or the Austrian village of Obermoos. The camera is directed towards the Zugspitze ski resort slopes. As you can see, despite the record height figures, the slopes of the Zugspitze are quite suitable for a comfortable ride.

Thanks to an extensive network of ski lifts and wide slopes, skiers and snowboarders can feel free and comfortable there. The first ski resort appeared on this site as far back as 1949. Since then, the passenger traffic has reached a record of 11,640 people per hour.

Zugspitze is popular with ski mountaineers. You can find comfortable freeride routes on its slopes. Today, the resort continues to develop and new routes, from different areas of Austria and Germany, are laid to the top of the mountains.
