Munich. Isar-Werkkanal in Flaucher Park
In front of us is a small part of Flaucher Park, which is located along the River Isar in the central and southern part of Munich. The park is a popular holiday destination with locals. In the summer, beaches open along the river, where Munich residents picnic.
The river can be crossed by Flauchersteg footbridge. It is seen in the center of the screen. This bridge connects three parts of Munich, and its total length is about 350 meters. In 2000-2001, due to the poor state of the construction of the bridge, it was decided to replace the wooden supports with steel ones. After the reconstruction, the bridge’s original appearance of 1885 (the year, when Flauchersteg was built) was almost completely preserved.
One of the most famous beer gardens of the city is in Flaucher. On weekends, when most of the institutions of Munich do not work, the locals go to these gardens to have a beer and enjoy Bavarian sausages.
