Munich. Thalkirchner Bridge

Munich is considered to be one of the most “green” cities in Europe. Streets and parks are buried in countless trees, and in the southern part of the city, which is presented on your screen, whole forests are located. For example, in front of us is a bridge, behind which Perlacher and Grünwalder forests are visible.

You can see Thalkirchner Bridge over Isar-Werkkanal Channel, which is not the most significant, but still an interesting attraction of Munich. The bridge was built at the beginning of the last century and combines metal and wooden elements.

Now, cars, with the total weight of not more than three tons, can pass the bridge. This measure has helped to unload the center of Munich from transport. Since 2009,
just-married couples have hung locks on the bridge, which symbolizes the durability of their marriage.

The bridge was reconstructed in 1991, but it is still partially wooden, which gives it historical value.
