Oberstdorf. Lake Freibergsee

Oberstdorf is famous for its board for ski jumps at Erdinger Arena. From the middle of the last century, various sporting events, from small local events to world championships, have been held there. With the development of this sport, they needed to build a training ground. The camera is installed right on it.

Since the opening of the first wooden structure in the 50s of the last century, this springboard has been repeatedly rebuilt. The last major update of Heini-Klopfer-Skiflugschanze in 2016-2017 put it on par with Erdinger Arena.

The launch pad of the springboard offers magnificent views of the German mountains and Lake Freiberg. With its unique location at an altitude of more than one kilometer above sea level, amidst the wooded hillsides, Freiberg has become a popular tourist destination in the vicinity of Oberstdorf. On the shores of the lake, you can find a restaurant and a coffee shop, boat rentals and beaches for swimming.
