Ermoupoli. The Port

This webcam faces the port of Ermoupoli. This city, often referred as “Town of Hermes”, is the capital city of the South Aegean region, including the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands. The city has perfect transport connection with other islands, both within the South Aegean region and outside.

To its visitors Ermoupoli looks very much unlike the typical Greek island-style settlements. Local buildings are mostly larger and built under obvious neoclassical influence.
