Gravellona Toce. Community Panorama

The panorama of the Gravellona Toce community, located near the famous lake, Lago Maggiore, opens to us from the mountain area of Ricciano. From here, you can see almost the entire town, built between Montortano (in the image, it is on the left) and Mottarone.

Montortano has both rocky and wooded slopes, so it is suitable for walking and climbing. You can climb to the top of the mountain, from different directions (including Gravellona Toce), where tourist trails are laid.

The community of Gravellona Toce is an important transport hub in the Piedmont region because it is where the roads leading to three different areas meet. The community got its name because of the large amount of gravel in the local Toce River, so it can be said that the literal translation is”Gravel River of Toce.”

In the background, we can see Lago Maggiore, but houses near the shores of the lake are located in another place called Feriolo. If you want to save on your vacation, then you should take a closer look at Gravellona Toce hotels, the rooms of which are cheaper than similar hotels in Feriolo. For example, the deluxe room, per tourist, at B & B IL PAESELLO costs only 35 euros. Similar options in Feriolo are two to three times more expensive.
