Pietracamela. Prati di Tivo Ski Resort

The Gran Sasso d’Italy mountain range, in the center of the country, has several high peaks. This camera is installed on the slope Corno Grande (2,912 meters above sea level), in the town of Prati di Tivo. It is not surprising that several ski lifts and ski slopes have been built here.

At first glance, Prati di Tivo may seem like a village, but this impression is deceptive. We can see half of all the buildings located in the resort. There are big hotels, near the lower lift station, which can be reached by car. In addition to these, there are several bars and restaurants in Prati di Tivo, as well as sports equipment shops.

The Prati di Tivo resort is built in the Gran Sasso E Monti Della Laga National Park. Right next to the hotel La Gran Baita, in which the camera is installed, is the entrance to this park.

Due to its good transport accessibility, the Prati di Tivo resort is very popular among Europeans, many of whom prefer to travel in motorhomes. There is a special parking lot for such vehicles.
