Zürich. Panorama of the Center
Zurich is beautiful from any vantage point. The best views are from tall buildings on the shores of Lake Zurich. Every 10 minutes, this panoramic camera records the Limmat embankment, in the place of its confluence with the lake. Due to the wide overview, we can see a lot of attractions.
From the city hall of Zurich, we are looking at the Fraumunster Abbey. In the extreme northern position, we can see the tower of the church with the clock and bell. Right behind the abbey is the Museum of Porcelain and Ceramics, one of the most beautiful urban buildings of the 18th century.
On the opposite bank of the Limmat, to which the Münster Bridge (Cathedral Bridge) was built in 1838, is the Grossmünster, a reformatory church of the beginning of the last millennium. Its construction lasted for more than 100 years, from 1090 to 1220. Two tall towers of the male monastery are landmarks of not only Zurich, but also all of Switzerland.
The camera shows almost the entire area of Altstadt. The University of Zurich, the Central Library, and the churches; these and other architectural masterpieces of Zurich are worth visiting while traveling around Switzerland.
In the south, one can see the quayside of the Limmat River and Lake Zurich, as well as another bridge across the river and the tower clock.
