The medieval Norwegian town of Molde was founded on a trade route that ran through the Fanefjord and Moldefjord. The history of Molde is only a few centuries old, but the first settlements on the neighboring islands of Veia and Secken are mentioned in the documents of 1162, so people began to develop these territories 1000 years ago.

A panoramic camera near the city center is located on the high tower of the port of Hurtigruten. When you look at the embankment at the bottom of the screen, you can see the E39 road connecting the center of Molde with its airport, built in the eastern part of the city. In addition to the harmonious architecture of Molde, you can see the incredible landscapes of the Romsdal area with its high mountains, islands and fjords.

You will probably see large cargo and passenger ships there. The main sea direction connects Molde with the city of Vestnes. The ferry service is part of E39.

Among the huge variety of beautiful buildings in the city, there is a tall 65-meter tower of the Molde Cathedral, erected in the middle of the last century. This is the fourth church of Molde, built on the site of the previously burned wooden churches.
