Zermatt. Railway Station Square Bahnhofplatz

Zermatt today is a combustion-engine car-free zone. It helps prevent air pollution and keeps the town’s view of the Matterhorn.

This current webcam shows the square near the local railway station. You can see that almost all vehicles are electric, only fire trucks and ambulances are allowed to use combustion-engine cars.
