Washington, D.C.. Ronald Reagan National Airport

The camera, located in the Washington Cathedral area, faces south, toward Ronald Reagan National Airport. Excellent picture quality allows us to see, in detail, the airport runway, five kilometers away from the camera.

The main airport of the US capital was opened during the Second World War. In the 1940s, Japanese aircraft and other military equipment were displayed here.

Ronald Reagan Airport can be reached both by taxi and by public transport, including Metrobus bus and the metro. The overground station of the national airport was built in 1977, it is a transit point for the blue and yellow branches of the Washington subway.

In the background, we can see the Potomac River where Washington was built, as well as neighboring Alexandria and dozens of other American cities.
Today, the airport capacity is more than two million passengers per year.
